BCT01508 Latino Marfil ceramic wall tile 30x60cm by British Ceramic Tile (UK).
A glazed ceramic field tile with a flat gloss finish. The Latino Marfil is a digitally printed stone-effect tile inspired by natural travertine, an Italian limestone marble named after the Roman city of Tibur (modern-day Tivoli) which the Colosseum in Rome is built of. Natural travertine can be cross-cut or vein-cut depending on how the blocks are sawn when quarried. The Latino Marfil imitates cross-cut travertine meaning the natural veining is avoided when cut which produces a clouded appearance which has been honed. Tiles like the Latino Marfil which look like polished stone are great in any bathroom adding an element of luxury without the maintenance demanded by real travertine. Large format tiles such as this can create an illusion of space in smaller rooms because of fewer grout lines. Also known as Rapolano Marfil Gloss.
