Tacoma Blanco wall tile 36x80cm by Pamesa Ceramica (Spain).
A glazed ceramic tile with a smooth matt finish. As a digitally printed stone-effect tile, the Tacoma Blanco imitates natural white marble which has been cross-cut and vein-cut. Cross-cut means the natural veining is avoided when cut which produces a clouded appearance. Vein-cut means it is sawn against the natural vein of the stone revealing its characteristic parallel layers. Unlike natural stone, ceramic tiles do not need sealing or have the same inherent variation and impurities.
A growing demand combined with modern manufacturing has lead to the availability of affordable large format tiles. Also known as XL tiles, or simply “big” tiles, they create an illusion of space in busy homes as bigger tiles means fewer grout lines. They are ideal for open-plan kitchens, dining areas, living rooms and conservatories. Large format tiles may require two people for fitting and should be back-buttered to ensure that suitable contact with the tile is achieved. We recommend trowelling the substrate with a thick solid bed trowel (usually 12mm).
Pamesa Ceramica is one of Spain’s leading tile manufacturers having been in business for over 40 years. It aims to be the leading benchmark in the design, manufacture and marketing of ceramic tiles guaranteeing quality, value and customer satisfaction.
